Description

STI-1250 consists of a clear, tamperproof, super tough polycarbonate cover, frame and gasket that fits over most manual pull stations. The cover is connected to the frame by a cable. When the cover is lifted, it hangs off of the frame until the cover is snapped back onto the frame.

This tough UV-stabilized cover helps extend the life and reliability of weather exposed manual pull stations and also guards against damage from grime and other harsh indoor conditions. Using the same super tough cover as the Stopper® II, but without the warning horn, it is especially useful in increasing the lifespan of devices in saltwater areas or other severe environments.

Weather Stopper carries a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use.

The Model 302-ET-135 and 302-ET-194 are Epoxy Coated for Wet and Corrosive Atmospheres.

Description

The 302 Series rate-anticipation heat detector respond and activate the fire alarm immediately whenever the ambient temperature reaches the preset temperature setting. Under rapid heat rise conditions, the rate-anticipation feature enables the detector to respond one to three degrees ahead of the setting. At the same time, however, it does not respond to momentary temperature fluctuations below the selected protection level, thus eliminating false alarms. When temperature drops back down below the protection level, the detector automatically resets itself.

Application Information

302 Series detectors have a smooth-ceiling UL rating of 50' x 50' (15.24 x 15.24 meters) and are the only type of heat detectors having such a rating on both fixed temperature and rate anticipation. The 302-H is designed for horizontal mounting and UL rated for 40' x 40' (12.19 x 12.19 meters).

The ESL 449/448 Series self-diagnostic, four-wire smoke detectors continually monitor their own sensitivity and operational status, and provide a visual trouble indication if they drift out of sensitivity range or fail internal diagnostics. This unique, patented technology meets NFPA 72 field sensitivity testing requirements without the need for external meters.

Additional diagnostic information is activated by applying a magnet near the detector's integral reed switch. This initiates a self-diagnostic routine and provides visual indication of sensitivity level, or if service is required.

This series is easily cleaned by simply replacing ESL’s proprietary field-replaceable optical chamber. All models are designed to reduce false alarms from dust, insects, RFI, and external light.

An integral combination rate-of-rise and fixed 135° F (57° C), 50-foot rated, heat sensor is available with all “T” model detectors (see selection guide), allowing latching of the alarm for either smoke or heat. The 449CSRH includes an isolated alarm output for heat and activates an internal non-latching sounder (local alarm) for smoke, making it ideal for motel/hotel and dormitory rooms where smoking is permitted.
